Definition of UpShift (noun not verb)

People often ask what UpShift means.  Upcycle (humble opinion about to be thrown around) is overused by the eco-conscious community to invoke recycling in a trendy way.  We took a fresh spin on it.  Upshifting in a car means going into a higher gear...gear is also slang for clothing.  "Let's switch gears", people say for wanting to change topics. My favorite topic is clothing.  Switch it up.

Mind ready to be blown? Shift is another word for a loose fitting dress.  It all makes perfect sense. UpShifting means changing up your gear for better duds.  Simple.

Our Amazing Merchandiser Part II

Our lead merchandiser works her tail off keeping our store looking fashion forward and totally amazing (in fact this week she's revamping UpShift with all new trends).  She apparently found a kimono in our inventory.  When my husband got to the store she was found floating around the store adding last minute touches to the store while wearing an over-sized (not tough on her since she's pint sized), red, silky kimono.

She is proof that you can live life fabulously in whatever the hell you want to wear.

Summer Lovin'

Summer is finally here and that means vodka with cukes as well as all new shorts.  We had to make room for all our back stock (stuff we kept in back just for this season), which we pulled out yesterday, June 12th.  Tons of new items available.  Wanna UpShift?  Check it out.

Also, we took a bunch of our old jeans that weren't moving out the door and we UpShifted them into short shorts.  We have nearly 3 dozen new pairs....custom made by our merchandiser.  She specifically ratted them out and made them super uber cute!  I brought them home and ran them through the wash and added even more details...while sipping my vodka/cucumber drink.  Just another way we're recycling while keeping top fashion in mind...and enjoying a refreshing cocktail.
